Garnier Organ Recital
The first in a set of three organ recitals, played on the beautiful Garnier Organ in the Elgar Concert Hall. This performance features University organist Henry Fairs, and Head of Organ Studies at the Conservatoire, Daniel Moult.
Didi and Friends – Celebration Concert
To mark Chinese New Year, the China Institute is hosting a celebratory concert in the Bramall, with top class musicians Di Xiao (Piano), Jiaxin Lloyd Webber (Cello) and a spectacular performance from a face-changing artist Dan Du. We warmly invite you to join us to welcome the Year of the Earth Dog with a magical fusion of traditional Chinese and Western music.
Sinfonia of Birmingham
In this concert, conductor Mike Seal (Associate Conductor of the CBSO) will guide players and audience alike on a transatlantic journey of delights – starting off with Copland’s snappy masterpiece (Appalachian Spring), taking in Wild’s joyful and witty Doo-Dah Variations, before a ravishing homecoming in Vaughan Williams’ London Symphony (No. 2).
Comedy Night

Join us for more laughter at our Comedy night, with a line-up of funny men – including Tom Wrigglesworth, Andy Askins and compere Freddy Quinne. The evening promises to be fun-filled from start to finish.
CrossCurrents Festival

Be inspired, be challenged, and get excited by contemporary and new music in our eight day festival, CrossCurrents. This biennial event features the best of new music and welcomes artists, composers and students to present performances and events to stimulate and invigorate. The festival concludes with the first public performance from the newly established contemporary music group, Loki. Conceived and directed by Daniele Rosina, Loki draws on the talents of some the UK’s finest chamber musicians and new music specialists.
